PS2 news, reviews, and fun stuff
I’ve been writing video game reviews for over two years now, and there’s been some things I’ve learned over that span of time. I don’t mean better writing techniques, for which I’ve picked up quite a few, but rather the things you don’t think about until they rear their head. Since not everyone has written reviews before, I wanted to take some time to reflect on my time spent writing, and give some insight on what it takes to be a freelance video game reviewer.

Now that’s more like it.
A great haul this week, spanning from the PS1, PS2, and the Xbox 360.
I love it when I get a great deal on a lot of games.

There’s way too many video games to play. Way too many. While everyone will undoubtedly have their favorites there are certain games that might get passed by that shouldn’t have. Maybe it’s a game that came out while another, bigger game was released. Or perhaps its something you’ve just completely overlooked altogether. In the first volume of Worth Playing I’m looking at a few games that may or may not have flew under your radar but should be considered regardless. Let’s get going.

I am really happy when I find a game I’ve been looking for. I’m happier when that game is cheaper than usual. And I’m happiest when said game is a fighting game. This week was accented by a very good find that I’m happy to have in my library.

Leave it to the old PS2 to bring in a cartload of games this week. Well, also leave it to buy 2 get 2 free sales to bring in the games. And also the fact that all these games were well less than $10 each. A good variety of games, and even a Wii title, fill out this week’s Round-Up. Check them out.

Join me as we delve deep into the catacombs that are my video game library. This week we have a lesser known Capcom title, Under the Skin. With frantic and zany action, high production values, and even a hefty nod to the Resident Evil franchise, it’s a shame more people haven’t played this lost gem. Read on and see why aliens with tiny ray guns can be your friends….

New games and old games collide in this week’s round-up! Video games based on TV shows, gratuitous amounts of violence, and Japanese craziness accent a nice haul of exciting games. Let’s delve deep and see what we’ve got…

Relatively short list of new games this week. Well, really not a list of games at all, seeing as I didn’t stumble across anything new. Don’t fret: I won’t leave you high and dry with nothing new to look at. (more…)
