A few weeks back a friend and coworker straight up gave me a PS Vita. Apparently she had an extra one just lying around, and her and her boyfriend didn’t need two anymore. Despite several attempts to tell her she didn’t have to give it to me, she still showed up one day, smile on her face and Vita in hand, and gave me a wonderful gift. As with every console I of course wanted a PS Vita eventually, but the timing was never right, or (perhaps more importantly) there weren’t any games out for it that made me need to have it. So here we are now, Vita literally in my laptop bag as I write this… and I have absolutely no idea what to do with it. (more…)

After a kinda good, kinda bad haul from the citywide garage sale last weekend, I was hoping to find better luck searching through some GameStop’s I don’t usually get to visit this week. While a few stores had some new games for me, I have think I’m at the point where GameStop is no longer offering up anything new for my collection. Sadly most stores have all the same stuff visit after visit. So treat this intro as a request for any gamers out there looking to trade in games to trade them in so I can buy them. Thanks! (more…)
When Rocket League first burst onto the PlayStation 4 scene back in 2015, it kind of went under my personal radar for quite some time. Even after downloading the game for free through PS Plus it just sort of sat there for several months before my friends and I started it randomly one night. Since then we moved up the ranks into the “Pro” status level, earned tons of new decals and antennas, and yet still managed to feel incredibly inadequate at the game skill-wise. After a couple fun-filled months, I thought we were kind of done with Car Soccer Rocket League. That is until the most recent Rumble update added an entirely new and fun mode to the mix. (more…)
