Sunday Roundup: 11/27/11

Black Friday sales are the greatest. You can get great (or not so great) games on the cheap! If you hurry to GameStop this weekend you can still catch some of these games, too!

Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Xbox 360
Release Date: March 2nd, 2010

A buddy of mine and his wife played this game quite a lot, and still do if I’m correct, and they always nagged me to get the game. I’m not that into shooters (although that point could be contested by looking at this weeks gathering of games), but for $9.99 at GameStop I really couldn’t say no! I’m looking forward to getting in some good co-op time in this coming week, so we’ll see if the game is as good as they made it sound.

 Duke Nukem Forever
Xbox 360
Release Date: June 14th, 2011

Hail to the King, Baby! I played Duke Nukem 3D and Duke Nukem: Time to Kill back in the 90s/2000s, and I liked what they had (specifically 3D). I know the whole hub-bub around the release date window for this game, and I’m honestly surprised this game actually DID come out. Reviews were less than stellar for the game, but I’m still on board to play as Duke once again. Count me in for just $9.99 as well

 Gears of War 3
Xbox 360
Release Date: September 20th, 2011

My uncle informed me Thanksgiving night that he was going to head over to Best Buy around 3am to check out there deals. Normally I’d of gone with him but I was actually going to be working at the time at our local mall. I remembered reading online that Gears of War 3 would be on sale at the time for the insanely low price of $29.99. So I handed the cash over to my uncle and that’s how I came to finally posses the entire GoW trilogy. Now…. to finish Gears of War 2…
