A visit to Los Angeles for family and friends is great, and being able to hit up a couple used game shops along the way is even better! I haven’t been to LA in six years, so it was nice to get back there and see that some places were still the same, but others were totally revamped! Par for the course for a major city I suppose. Anyway, after a visit to a shop that wasn’t all too thrilling, my brother and I hit up a place that was literally, and I mean this in ever sense of the phrase, packed floor to ceiling with games from every console. It was a little piece of heaven that I can’t seem to find in my neck of the woods. Anyway, let’s get to it! Read more about Sunday Roundup: 4/24/16 …
As 2011 comes to an end, I thought it would be a cool idea to look back at the year in games. Specifically, the year in games added to my ever-growing library. If you’re a frequent visitor to the site (I greatly hope you are!) you’ll no doubt know I do a weekly blog post about my newest games. So below I’ve collected every game I added this year (well, really only half-year, because I started this blog in late July). I’ve also linked any relevant posts I’ve done about said games, like reviews, Modern Classics, and gameplay videos. This 3DS mini-retrospective of the legendary Pac-Man and Galaga franchises contains the original arcade games that started it all, the reboots from the Xbox 360, and two all-new games exclusive to the 3DS. Even with the repackaging of four great titles and two brand new ones, Dimensions is a hard recommendation given the burden of its full price tag.
Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions for the Nintendo 3DS is upon us, and not a moment too soon. It’s no secret that the 3DS has been struggling in terms of sales, and that is no doubt partly due to the shortage of
quality games for the system. Namco Bandai is trying to remedy this situation with Dimensions and it’s six-games-in-one deal. Pac-Man is great, Galaga is great, now how to they fair together?
