Two rogue-lites enter, one leaves. Which was the better game? When both are solid, it's hard to tell!
Another year and another E3 is almost upon us. As is tradition with this blog and many other outlets, it comes time for us to predict what we will see at the upcoming show. I know I always stretch really far in my predictions, but honestly if they would just make these things happen I could stop making these lists. Despite this, I kind of look forward to checking off dream boxes in my head, wishing on what could (and never will) be. Let’s jump right in with 2018’s Top Ten Dream E3 Predictions. (more…)
I had a very important decision to make: I was going to spend an entire week back home in Indiana and needed something to do on the flight and in the evenings. My trusty 3DS hadn’t gotten any love since Miitopia a few months back, and the Switch was sitting there looking pretty with Breath of the Wild and Golf Story. But which one should I take with me? Going through the games of last year, some stood out as great, but not superb enough to warrant a top spot for the year. Also, last year I didn’t just play new games, but also ones released earlier. I didn’t find it appropriate to include these in a true Game of the Year post, but here are a few others video games that stood out to me in 2017. (more…)
The year of 2017 will go down as one of the best in all of gaming. From the release of Nintendo’s Switch console to the abundant amount of triple A titles worth your time released this calendar year, it’s hard to find any other time it’s been this great to be a gamer. As the year wraps up I wanted to look back at some of the games that shaped the past 12 months for me. While there were many games I played this year, only a select few stand out as truly awesome. This is one of them. (more…)
