Chicken Run CoverChicken Run
Dreamcast
Release Date: November 13th, 2000
Purchased at: GameShop Downstairs (San Jose, CA – $4)

I’ve been searching Craigslist for a few months now and I’ve always been on the lookout for video game deals (Naturally). A few months back I noticed an advertisement for a used video game store in San Jose promising a great stock of old PS2, PS1, Saturn, DS, Game Boy, and plenty of other video games. Fast forward half a year and I’ve finally made it to the store. Annnnd it wasn’t that good at all. Aside from being kind of small and not well kept, the stock was very umimpressive and most of the games were held behind the counter so I couldn’t even browse the prices (which is something I hate, by the way). I did pull one thing out of the experience, and that’s Chicken Run here for the Dreamcast. Just a few bucks and in good condition… also I felt bad for the guy that owned the place if I didn’t buy anything…

Otomedius Excellent Special Edition CoverOtomedius Excellent: Special Edition
Xbox 360
Release Date: November 1st, 2011
Purchased at: Amazon (Online – $20)

Sometimes a game cover just catches your eye, and sometimes there are covers like Otomedius Excellent. I first saw the game relatively recently sitting on the shelf at a GameStop. It’s not that the cover isn’t attractive, ah-hem, but I actually do enjoy me a good shoot-em up, and that’s what this one is. Coincidentally the game was on sale on Amazon for just $8, but then the Special Edition was on sale as well for only $20! The Special Edition comes with the game, an art book, a soundtrack CD, and a two-sided pillowcase! Sweet!!

Laters,

I’ve always wanted to obtain/play Chicken Run on the Dreamcast. I enjoyed the movie as a kid and dig the Dreamcast so it seems like a worthwhile purchase for me. If you play it, let me know what you think.

I’ll be sure to do that, but as to not disappoint I won’t give you any false hope because the likelihood of me playing it anytime soon would be small.

Haha, I understand what it’s like with a large collection.
