What happened last week? Something big… something noteworthy…
Something. Ugh, I can’t think of it.
…
Oh yeah! The Wii U was released, and that’s pretty much what every news piece concerning games related to this week. Still though, some stories sneaked through the Wii U dominance and caught my eye as well this week.
3DS title Resident Evil: Revelations might be headed to the Xbox 360 and PS3. A Korean Rating’s Board seems to have listed the game as coming out on those consoles.
THQ, the company that has produced many great games including the Sonic Advance series, Destroy All Humans, and Metro: Last Light might be in financial troubles. The company has just eight weeks to pay back a $50 million loan to the bank or it could all be over.
As reported last week, Black Friday happened (yesterday actually), and there were plenty of deals to be had, and therefore plenty of craziness ensued.
The Wii U, Nintendo’s successor to the ultra successful Wii, was released on Monday. There were shortages, massive installs and updates, and plenty of fun had by all!
There’s a new trailer for the Japanese 3DS title Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney which shows some promising puzzle elements and courtroom hijinks. Still no word on a Western release though.
It was eight years ago today that Bilzzard’s MMORPG World of Warcraft was released. Millions of gamers still log in to play the game to this day, and millions more have fond memories (myself included) of their time spend in Azeroth.
