Though it came out last week, I was able to score a download via Machinima for this one this week. Tales of the Abyss was originally released back in 2006 on the PS2, and is part of the larger Tales series of games. If you frequent my Game Diary you’ll know that I’ve been playing as much of this game as I possibly can, and it’s quite good. That being said, there’s nothing here that is extraordinary or revolutionary, but what it does, it does very well. I like the battle system a lot (just like any other game in the series: action based real-time combat, mixed with RPG menus to slow things down if need be). Definitely worth a look, as this is probably the best RPG the 3DS has so far.
