Tomodachi Life 3DS Release Date: June 6th, 2014 Purchased at: Online (Amazon – $35) Once I got excited for this game to come out, I started having high hopes that it would be everything I wanted it to be: wacky fun with my friends’ Miis, lots of creativity to work with, and worth the asking price for what essentially boils down to a sim/dating application. Thankfully these first few days with Tomodachi Life have been great! I am having a blast creating my friends and watching them interact with one another. I bought a copy for my girlfriend as well and she’s loving it too! Hopefully it’ll have the same staying power as Animal Crossing: New Leaf! |
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Wii Release Date: November 6th, 2007 Purchased at: Garage Sale (Cupertino, CA – $5) Laura and I randomly passed by a garage sale and I happened to glance a few board games sitting on a table. Since we were literally just picking up board games at her dad’s house, we decided we may as well look here since we had the time. Lo and behold they had some Wii games sitting out for sale as well. Though this one wasn’t in the best condition (a bit dirty, and no manual), the price was decent. I would have bought some of the other games the kid was selling (yes, it was just a maybe-14 year old boy selling the games) but I already owned them. Aside from picking up this game, the stop here has made me want to go garage sale shopping yet again! And it’s becoming the perfect season to do so! |
