After months of having things to do on the weekend and/or during the week, I’m finally back to what you could call a normal week: I didn’t have anything to do this week except work and, well, work! Normal is a relative term though, because I’d much rather have plans or places to go like I had before. This work and no play stuff is boring. Not only that but I buy less games when I don’t go places! Oh well, at least Goodwill was good to me this week.
Family Guy: Video Game! PlayStation 2 Release Date: October 16th, 2006 Purchased at: Goodwill (Michigan City, IN – $3) This week’s games all come from my local Goodwill store, which has been hit-or-miss for the most part. When the store hits though, it usually hits in a great way (like Diablo for PS1 for $3 or a whole bunch of Wii controllers for less than $10), so it’s usually worth stopping in every now and then to see what’s available. This week I was able to find a handful of PS2 games in perfect shape, the first of which being Family Guy. I use to be a fan of the show, but as with most television nowadays I tend to not watch much of anything. Still though, for three dollars the game is totally worth it in my opinion. Now to get my hands on that Futurama game. |
Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters PlayStation 2 Release Date: March 11th, 2008 Purchased at: Goodwill (Michigan City, IN – $3) The Ratchet & Clank series has always been a good series in my opinion, but even with my approval I’ve still yet to finish any game from the series. I tried to start up the first one a few years back and got a good ways in before I moved on to different things. I’ve also played the PS3 games as well, but never through to the end. Seeing as this one was originally released on the PSP and isn’t quite as well received as past entries, I’ll probably skip on this for a more cherished game in the franchise. |
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed PlayStation 2 Release Date: September 16th, 2008 Purchased at: Goodwill (Michigan City, IN – $3) I swear this has happened before: I get a game in a series that isn’t the first and I think to myself, “Great! Now I need to find the one’s released before this,” only to find said game a short time after. Last week I received The Force Unleashed II, and this week I’ve come into possession of the PS2 version of the first game. I’ve heard good things about this game (and the sequel, for that matter), but my friends have all said the game is over very quickly. We’ll see just how quick soon enough. |
